Lok Son Wong

Role Description:

Remedial Massage Therapist and Exercise Scientist

Lok Son Wong is a dedicated remedial massage therapist and exercise scientist, having graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sports Science from Bond University in 2023. He has also obtained a Diploma in Remedial Massage, the combination of education allows him to provide a comprehensive approach to assist individuals in achieving optimal health. Motivated by his personal experience with wrist injuries sustained from playing badminton in year 8, Lok was introduced to the transformative potential of manual therapy and rehabilitation exercises. This pivotal moment steered him towards a career in rehabilitation, with a clear goal to deepen his proficiency in this field. He is set to expand his knowledge and expertise by commencing a Doctor of Physiotherapy in May 2023. 

With a solid foundation of training across Macau, China, and Australia, Lok has acquired certifications in Dry Needling and Fascial Manipulation Level 2. He is proficient in an array of therapeutic techniques including deep tissue massage, myofascial release, myofascial cupping, trigger point release, dry needling, IASTM, fascial manipulation, Chinese massage, and Swedish massage. Lok’s clinical interests are targeting musculoskeletal issues such as the neck, wrist, shoulder, knee, ankle, and lower back. He is committed to using exercises to help correct muscle imbalances, providing a comprehensive approach to patient care. 

Outside of his practice, Lok enjoys an active lifestyle filled with basketball, badminton, and table tennis. He also loves exploring different cultures through their food and is passionate about shooting landscape photographs. This combination of professional dedication and personal hobbies highlights his well-rounded approach to health and wellness, making him a vibrant and valued member of the health and wellness community.
