Lamir

Role Description:

Physiotherapist

Lamir is a distinguished physiotherapist who brings a wealth of knowledge and a deep-rooted passion for movement rehabilitation to our team. Graduating with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from Griffith University, Lamir’s commitment to excellence was recognized when he received the prestigious Griffith University’s Award for Academic Excellence in 2022. But Lamir’s journey into the world of physiotherapy is not solely defined by academic achievements; it’s interwoven with his dedication to martial arts and combat sports.

Lamir’s martial arts journey began in 2018 when he ventured into the realm of boxing. His quest for mastery didn’t stop there; he delved into the intricacies of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) and Muay Thai, forging a connection with the martial arts community. It was during this period that Lamir recognized the importance of proper movement and injury management. He underwent two significant shoulder surgeries in 2018 and 2019, experiences that would catalyze his transformation into a physiotherapist. These injuries fuelled his desire to help martial arts practitioners and athletes from all walks of life navigate the challenges of rehabilitation, pain management, and performance optimization.

Lamir’s treatment philosophy is rooted in evidence-based practices, encompassing a holistic approach to patient care. He leverages a comprehensive toolbox that includes personalized exercise programs, hands-on manual therapy techniques, and patient education. While Lamir’s expertise extends across the musculoskeletal spectrum, his areas of interest lie in the intricate workings of the shoulder, ankle, and knee. Furthermore, his deep understanding of sports injuries and post-operative rehabilitation positions him as an invaluable asset to athletes seeking a swift return to peak performance.

Outside the clinic, Lamir is a dedicated individual who embraces a well-rounded lifestyle. His free time is often dedicated to gym training, allowing him to maintain a strong connection with the physical demands of martial arts and sports. He finds solace in the world of literature, musical melodies through his guitar, and the creative realm of sketching. These diverse interests mirror his holistic approach to physiotherapy, underlining his commitment to nurturing both the physical and mental aspects of his patients’ well-being.
