After finishing high school Josh, naturally continued his high performance sporting interest by studying at the University of Queensland, where he initially studied Bachelor of human movements before transitioning to Bachelor of Physiotherapy—a hands-on profession that allows him to make a tangible impact on clients’ lives.

In 2013, Josh graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from the University of Queensland and discovered his true calling. His passion lies in working with the everyday client while leveraging elite training principles and techniques to achieve the best outcomes. His extensive qualifications, including certifications in advanced dry needling and western acupuncture, kinesiology taping, and more, reflecting his commitment to staying at the forefront of physiotherapy.

Over the last decade, Josh has performed over 36,000 treatments of Physiotherapy giving him extensive experience in all areas of musculoskeletal physiotherapy. Josh has a wealth of experience in dealing with complex, challenging and difficult musculoskeletal conditions as well as those with psychosocial complexities and mental and physical disability.

Josh’s areas of expertise is in hands on musculoskeletal Physiotherapy which was the underpinning value of Reclaim Health and Rehab being to take a “hands on” approach to treatment. Josh treats using techniques such as manual therapy, deep tissue work, trigger point therapy combined with dry needling and exercise based rehabilitation, refining his skills over the last decade.

Josh’s special interests include post-surgical rehabilitation, with a focus on total knee replacements, shoulder replacements, tendon repairs, and low back surgeries. He also has a special musculoskeletal area interest in knees, low back, shoulders, and cervicogenic headaches. His passion lies in bridging the gap between elite athletes and the general population, applying elite rehabilitation models and principles to everyday clients.
