Winnie graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy degree from the University of Queensland in 2012. After graduation, she gained her experienced working both as a Community Physio covering from the South West Brisbane to Mount Tamborine region and a cardiorespiratory Physio in intensive care unit and acute inpatient neurosurgical ward at the Mater Private Hospital.
She then expanded her expertise by starting to work in the private practice setting where she found her passion in working with elite athletes and treating sports, occupational, motor vehicle accident and other musculoskeletal related injuries.
Since then she has spent a year in the UK traveling and working as a musculoskeletal Physio within UK’s National Health Scheme system. It was an extremely rewarding position as she was able to work within a team of Exercise Physiologists and Sports Therapists for the athletes competing in the British Transplant Games in North Lanarkshire, Scotland this year. Recently, she has just returned from France and Switzerland working with a team of amateur riders and coaches from the Haute Route Alp Race.
Winnie’s special interest is neck, knees, post surgical rehabilitation and the use of acupuncture as an adjunctive treatment based on Western scientific theory and evidence.
