David Tyler – Exercise Physiologist

David graduated from the University of Queensland in 2013 with a Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science with a major in Clinical Exercise Physiology. After graduation, he moved to Mackay where he worked and lived for the next 3 years before returning home to Ipswich. While living away David gained experience with a vast array of conditions and injuries, namely cardiovascular, pulmonary musculoskeletal rehabilitation, as well as T2DM and cancer patients.

After moving back down David joined the Reclaim team and quickly became an integral part. Assisting the Physiotherapists with end stage patient rehabilitation – working on functional specific exercises, work-hardening and strength and conditioning while also working with his passion – patients with T2DM, cardiovascular disease and musculoskeletal injuries. David can either be found in his room assessing patients on their ability or working with them in the gym training and rehabbing them.

David places a very high value on patient education and endeavours to thoroughly explain the patient’s conditions and facilitate self- management to optimise recovery.
David works a lot with Department of Veterans Affairs, Third Party Insurance Claims and Workcover claims to assess, treat and improve ones physical health and condition.
